The Amber Rose Restaurant and Catering specializes in homemade Eastern European Cusine including German, Lithuanian, Polish, Hungarian, Russian and Italian cuisines. Our bar is made of imported Turkish marble, perfect for having an appetizer and spirits with friends. Our beer and wine lists consist of exemplary, hard-to-find European beverages. The building is located in the heart of Old North Dayton. We also specialize in custom catering to fit any of your needs. History of the Building The building, in which The Amber Rose Restaurant is located, was origionally built in 1910 by Sigmund Ksiezopolski. It ran as a general store and deli named Sig’s up until the early 1980′s. The family ran the general store downstairs and resided upstairs as their family quarters. The National Guard stayed with the family during the Great Flood of 1913. In 1989 Elinor Sluzas acquired the building with the intention of opening a restaurant. Before the scheduled grand opening there was a horrific fire and a portion of the building had to be rebuilt. The restaurant officially opened for businesss in 1990. Elinor may have retired but her recipes have stayed the same. Enjoy our homemade cuisines in our European Cafe inspired dining room. The Amber Rose has a lot of delicious and classic German food amongst other things. I highly recommend their Schnitzel and Cabbage Rolls, but don't be afraid to try anything. I have never had a bad meal there!

We met our parents here this afternoon for their 49th wedding anniversary. Right off the jump Ms. Chelsea had everyone at our table laughing. She meshed with our family very well. Her food recommendations were excellent, the dishes were stupendous and of course the service was impeccable. I highly recommend that you come here and ask for Chelsea or another funny server... Emily!! Both are nuts!! But awesome!!!!

Amber Rose serves interesting food reflecting the eastern European heritage of its neighborhood. Service was speedy & friendly, and the food was plentiful & tasty. Went there for lunch and ordered the corn beef Rubin. It was a nice pulled style beef with a great flavor with amazing sauerkraut served an marble rye .Give Amber Rose a try!

Haunted restaurant with excellent food. What more could you want. Recommend the cabbage rolls, but everything we have been served was fresh,hot, and delicious. We will be back sooner than later.

Went there for a special Mardi gras dinner. Food was great. Cocktails, well....not so great. Asked for an old fashioned, and got a watered down bourbon with sugar and a cherry. Terribly made cocktail.

Awesome place to eat! You'll definitely have to try the cherry almond bread pudding!! The story about the place is neat too. Coming from a 'Bama girl, I'd drive the 8 hours just for this place again

Awesome experience and food. Feels like a mom and pop restraunt out in the European countryside. Love going there, my grandma (who lived in Germany) said their Jager Schnitzel tastes like what she use to eat there. That says it all!

Was in town to see a museum and this place came up highly rated. Delicious. Had the Warsaw Medley plate. My dad got the Hunter Schnitzel with a really good sauce. I usually don't like sauerkraut and theirs was pretty good. Really good staff, my only gripe is that our table was next to their dish changing station, and it was a little noisy with plates slapping around. Highly recommend!!

Very good food just outside of the Dayton core. Very German and very delicious, if you want good sauerkraut, fantastic sausages, and endless soft warm dark bread, this is worth checking out. My wife and her girlfriend weren't big fans of the meat pierogis, but the cheese ones were good enough for them to change their minds.
